The Crooked House

Below we have an example of disconstructivism in architecture, in

Sopot, Poland. It is a particular variation, where post-modernism is

subjeted to a process of deformation.1

Experience Music Project

Next below we have an example of pure disconstructivism in

architecture, in Seattle, USA. Here architecture is dismembered.  The

surfaces peel away from the building. Essentially, function adapts to

form.2

The Basket Building

Below we have cute, from Ohio, USA. A building transformed in a

basket. Maybe the cute gesture was a need for image purposes of a

particular firm.3

National Stadium

Built for the Olympic Games, this stadium, below, in Beijing, China, is a

different and more convincing solution than cuteness. It pretends to

emulate a nest, but the solution is not cute. It is instead an elegant

work inspired on the nest.4

Stone House

An example from Fafe, Portugal. Pure adaptation of the environment,

of its context, in the house below. At the end of the day, it is an

intervention of humility towards nature.5
